The IRS has not yet announced the official start date for the tax return filing season. However, the date may be January 24, set forth informally by the IRS. Also, based upon previous years’ trends, e-filings will open up in the last week of January, likely between January 26 & 28. Below is the IRS filing deadline calendar dates:
March 15 – Partnerships & S-Corporations (original deadline)
April 15 – Individuals & C-Corporations (original deadline)
September 15 – Partnerships & S-Corps on extension
October 15 – Individuals & C-Corps on extension
